Great Britain 2003 Non Intaglio Small Machin High Values
On the 1st July 2003, the redesigned and new colour £1.50, £2.00, £3.00 and £5.00 Machins were issued – very few Post Offices needed these new stamps either because they still had stocks of the original printings or were using the dreaded Computer Produced White Self-Adhesive Label – THEN – just a few months ago Royal Mail confirmed that all values of £1.50 upwards were to be fully withdrawn from sales at ALL Post Office counters at the end of March and would be destroyed. This decision was made by the P.O. Revenue Protection Department. CONSEQUENTLY very few of the 2003 issue were used on commercial mail and are now very scarce. We have a small supply of these very fine used complete sets.
